They are “the Belarusian New Order of the new generation”, but Egor, Roman and Pavel from Minsk are called Molchat Doma. Their lyrics and music are visceral and intense and they play hybrid of bleak post-punk and minimalistic synth-pop that is both 80s-influenced and somewhat futuristic.

Los Bitchos is an international collective of multi-instrumentalists currently residing in London. Influences range from psych and garage to Cumbia and tequila, unsurpring really when the members come from as far afield as Perth in Australia, Montevideo, Stockholm and Croydon.

This supergroup from Vienna is serious about one thing: having fun. My Ugly Clementine is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Sophie Lindinger (from Leyya), who gathered together musicians that she always wanted to work with like Mira Lu Kovacs, Kathrin Kolleritsch and Barbara Jungreithmeier. 

Alicia Edelweiss

Alicia Edelweiss’ music is a peculiar incarnation of folk and pop, accompanied by a very personal, open-hearted and humorous language of the imagination. As a busker with a gift for circus performance her music has a theatrical touch. Currently operating from Vienna, Austria, Alicia Edelweiss performs something between freak folk, anti-folk and chamber pop.

Alyona Alyona

This former teacher raps in Ukrainian and hits the bull’s eye with her lyrics. Her debut album Ribki (or Fischlein, a synonym for young women) is about women like Alyona who are not accepted by society. It became a viral hit in Ukraine where ‘Salischaju swij dim’ (‘I leave my house’) has become an unofficial anthem for the many who want to move away from their traditional life to a better future. 

Meskerem Mees

Alex Gough is a breath of a fresh air. The 21-year-old drummer/rapper from Ireland displays a dizzying variety within his productions: brilliantly old school beats on a track like ‘Breakfast’ and jazz-influenced understatement in the shape of ‘Dear SJ’.
